Tokyo: Japan Has Seen A Record Rise In Child Suicides.
According to a foreign news agency, the number of child suicides in Japan has increased dramatically over the past 40 years. According to figures released by Japan’s Ministry of Education, 415 primary and high school children committed suicide in 2021, an increase from last year, when there were 100 more suicides this year than last.
After the corona virus outbreak in 2020, the number of child suicides increased and more women than men committed suicide due to anxiety caused by corona virus.
According to the survey, changes in schools and the home environment have had a profound effect on children’s behavior.
Japan has a long history of committing suicide out of remorse and embarrassment and has the highest suicide rate. However, after 15 years of efforts at the national level, the proportion has dropped by 40%.
