Rawalpindi: Chief Of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa Has Said That Pakistan Wants Lasting Peace In The Region.
News quoted the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR) as saying that the Army Chief had said this during a meeting with a US congressional delegation.
According to ISPR, bilateral issues and the Afghan security situation were discussed during the meeting.
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa while talking during the meeting said that Pakistan wants mutual relations with all the countries of the region.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief said that the international community must focus on averting the humanitarian catastrophe in Afghanistan.
It should be noted that the US Congressional delegation has also met Prime Minister Imran Khan during his visit to Pakistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said in the meeting that Pakistan and the United States need to enhance ties for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The Prime Minister told a meeting with a delegation led by Gregory Max, chairman of the US Congressional Committee, that the visit would play a key role in strengthening ties between the two parliaments.
According to Hum News, Prime Minister Imran Khan said in the talks that there is an urgent need to provide financial assistance to the Afghan people.
